Balduinseck Castle
Balduinseck Castle is located in the valley between Buch and Mastershausen in the municipality of Kastellaun. The wonderful dream loop Masdascher Burgherrenweg and the 20th stage of the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig run past the castle.

Baldenau moated castle ruins
The Baldenau Castle ruin in the Dhron Valley between Morbach-Hundheim and Morbach-Hinzerath is the only moated castle in the Hunsrück. The beautiful LandZeitTour dream loop runs around the castle. And you can discover them by bike on the 3rd stage of the Hunsrück cycle route.
Grimburg Castle
Grimburg Castle towers high above the Wadrill Valley near Hermeskeil. The 7th stage of the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig passes by the reconstructed castle complex.
Dill Castle
Dill Castle is located in the middle of the picturesque village of Dill in the Kirchberg municipality. The Ausoniusweg/Hunsrück Way of St. James, a popular pilgrimage route between Bingen on the Rhine and Trier on the Moselle, passes the village. And the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig also takes you to Dill.

Kastellaun Castle
Kastellaun Castle sits enthroned in the middle of the lovingly restored old town of Kastellaun. It is the starting point of the 21st stage of the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig and is also easy to reach from the Schinderhannes cycle route railway path.

Gemünden Castle
With a view of the Soonwald, Gemünden Castle sits above the resort town of Gemünden. It is privately owned and has been in the family for over half a millennium. The Heimat dream circuits runs not far from the castle and it can also be seen from the Schinderhannes-Soonwald cycle path.
New Castle Simmern
In the middle of the district town of Simmern lies the Neues Schloss (New Castle) in the classicist architectural style. It can be reached from the 2nd stage of the Ausonius route/Hunsrück Way of St. James as well as from the 4th stage of the Hunsrück cycle route.
